$$$

What's something we all love? It's green with symbols, a face, and one of them has an itsy bitsy spider in the corner. Yep, it's MONEY!!! It's amazing how you can work so hard to earn that green paper, and then you can spend it in five minutes. For example: it takes me five months to earn five hundred dollars. I spent five hundred dollars today on school stuff. X-P Sigh. Such is life.

Christmas Visitors...

Christmas is great. The spirit of the season makes everything worth it, even though I usually end up looking something like this: --------------------------------------\

It's Christmas time again. The shopping, the lights, the dreams are all back in town. But another thing that's in town and isn't recognized much is the visitors. My aunt and uncle came over tonight with a sweet little poem and some treats, followed by some of my neighbors. It's funny how I never really see anyone out and about, let alone in my house, until it's the Christmas holiday. People (including myself) really should get out more.

But one thing I don't like about Christmas is the constant ringing of the phone. My parents and I are all in leadership positions in my community, and with the season comes a lot more work and responsibility. My favorite phone call was the one asking if I'd wanted red poinsettias for the program or white ones. I didn't want any poinsettias, so we ended up settling for red. You have to give people what they want sometimes, I guess. They were pretty, but I think it was a little too..................much.

Dances

School dances are very boring. You pay money to jump around like a monkey and then don't even get asked to dance. Well, maybe once. But you can watch people who dance like know one is watching. That's fun to do. I got a kick out of that.

Thanks to Q. and K.C. for making the night more enjoyable. You know who you are!!! <3

Confusion

Have you ever been around someone who made you completely and utterly bamboozled and confuzzled? I have been for several days, namely someone starting with an "M" and ending with an "M." M-O-M is the word. I dunno, maybe I just don't get something. Anyone have any hints as to figuring out their moms?

This is me at the moment------\
PLEASE HELP ME, I BEG YOU!!!
Help my, friends and even foe. You're my only hope. [XP]

I've got a date, a date, a date, a date.

Yes!!! I have a date, my first ever date. And it's to a formal dance. So excited. But I don't know what to do during the day yet. Any ideas? Post a comment if you know of anything fun for four people to do. And where to find cute dresses that aren't so very *ouch X\*, if you know what I mean.

Agh, glare. I can hardly see the computer screen. This is why you don't let anyone else place the monitor, you do it yourself. ;)

Three Cheers for Worker's Comp!

So, I get injured at work. My boss blows the whole thing off as "it's not serious." Gets in trouble, grudgingly sends me with the forms to Workmed. I find out...I don't have to pay a thing!!! Isn't that amazing!?! Oh, and it only took two hours to fill out more forms and see the doctor, plus get treated and receive prescriptions. Not bad, not bad. Not great, considering my wrist kills, but not bad since I don't have to foot the bill. Squee!!!

Boys

Boys. What are they good for? Too much, but they cost you a lot. Money, time, tears, so many things that they don't even think about. Can you tell I'm angry?

But another thing is this: They are completely replaceable and in high quantities. You just have to find nice ones.

So, yeah. Today was bitter sweet. I got "turned down" for a dance, but I got a date a few hours later. I'm excited. Girls, help me choose a dress!!!

Socks

"Got a hole in my sock."
"Darn it."

And those are NOT my feet.

Doggy Dreams

My dog was just groomed a couple of days ago. I still have trouble getting used to her new cut; she used to be all shaggy and scruffy-lookin', and suddenly she looks like a complete priss! Anyone who hasn't met her is missing out, 'cause she's the sweetest thing that's happened since salt water taffy.

So's my other dog, but he's old and pretty grouchy sometimes. I told him he was grumpy the other day, and he looked at me with his ears up and his eyes confused and seemed to say "I'm not grumpy. I'm just old. Now scratch me."

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?

IT SNOWED!!!! I can hardly stand the excitement of waking up on the first day of December to a shining, glorious, flittering day of snow!!! It's so pretty and white and clean and fresh! Well, not necessarily clean, so don't eat it. As Koda the Bear said, "White snow's all right. Yellow or green, it's just not clean. I learned that the hard way."

So, take the advice from a smallish bear:

DON'T EAT THE COLORED SNOW. :D

Happy Snow Day!!!

November

Well, it's the last day of the month. Good old November. Turkey Day (otherwise known as Thanksgiving ;), Black Friday, crunching through piles of leaves, and "sweater weather" have all passed by. What a month to look forward to.

I still think Halloween is better than Thanksgiving.

Growing up...

It sucks, we all know it. I went to lunch with my friend today, and there were a bunch of little kids around, playing in the jungle gym room. Forgive me for being jealous, but I wish I was still "yittle!" Especially for dress-ups, puzzles, and cookie cutter drawings, not to mention the ability to use my imagination to play games with the people in my neighborhood. Sigh. Grass is always greener, isn't it?

Speaking of greener...you don't have money when you're little. That's a BIG bonus to growing up! All right, maybe I'm not so terribly jealous. ;)

BIRTHDAY TIME

I felt like saying "Happy Birthday," but since I don't know of any people who have birthdays today, I'm just going to say it.

SNOW!!!

Wonder of all wonders, we could be looking at a Winter Wonderland! Or so I hope. We got a taste of the snow last night while I was at the driving range over near my home, and I cannot wait to see if it will snow again!

By the way, have you ever actually looked at a snowflake? I don't mean just looked, but actually looked at one. They're so delicate and intricately designed. It's amazing to think that each one of those tiny little snowflakes will make a snowbank six feet tall!

2008's BIG Question: Is it the POLITICS or the RELIGION?

How's everyone feeling about the candidates for the year 2008? Loving them? Hating them? In awe? Afraid? WELL...currently I believe that the media is the thing to fear. Mitt Romney, a candidate from the East Coast, has been told that he owes people an explanation about his faith. Does that seem a little bit...strange to you? I think that he should agree to the challenge, but with one condition. ALL of the candidates have to sit down TOGETHER, Democrat, Republican, and other party members and discuss each of their faiths. All of the same questions are asked to each candidate, and they all have to answer.
What do you think?

Genealogy

It's all the craze, right? Well, I'm starting to agree that it's a great hobby and a fun way to pass the time. Try some of it out at http://www.familysearchindexing.org/ and you'll see what I mean. You do have to install a bit of it, but it doesn't take very long if you have a fast enough connection. It's fun, easy, and you get some practice at typing and deciphering handwriting.

Who Knew?

Who knew that I would ever start a blog? I vowed I never would, but here I am.

If you're too hot wherever you are, I suggest heading up to the mountains somewhere. It's pretty beautiful here in the Uintahs; each view different and more inviting than the first. Of course, that's only if you like to go outside. So, my advice for the day: Beat the Heat with a Mountain Retreat!
